| Bio: | I would like to understand the concept of friendship among people of the internet. Why friend people? Why ‘watch’ someone post their private thoughts and feelings? I think what I am trying to express is the bout of wonder and confusion I’ve been feeling lately. Why are you interested in a girl named Belinda? What makes me so special?
I’ve been a lurker on various websites before creating my own identity in the realm of internet existence and I have found that people are quite fond of receiving comments to their journals, blogs, pictures, etc. Why? Do comments make you feel more self-worth? Do you feel an exhilarating sense of social belonging when others feel the need to comment on your life?
I am one of the only persons in this area that does not possess a myspace account. To be honest I do not understand it’s appeal, yet does my lack of a myspace account make me less than human? Am I behind in the times?
Forgive me I have gone off the topic.
To a previous question, please, allow me to revisit, why watch seventeen year old Belinda? Are you under the impression I care about your input on the events of my day to day life? Or do you watch in hopes that I will post pictures of myself? Stop watching now because I assure you I will not. Ever.
Perhaps you watch because of my age. Ah that would explain it.
Please do not be alarmed I am only bringing up questions that have been swimming in my head for the last few weeks since I created this account.
I do not expect answers. I do not desire comments. I only wish to evoke thought into the pretty readers’ heads.
